A Practical and Natural Skincare Routine for Radiant, Balanced Skin

When it comes to skincare, I believe in simplicity, consistency, and using products with natural, clean ingredients that work with your skin rather than against it. My daily routine is not only easy to stick with but also deeply nourishing, thanks to products that focus on gentle yet effective formulations.

Step 1: Melt Away Impurities with Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Botanical Cleansing Oil

This cleansing oil is the ultimate first step in my routine, whether I’m wearing makeup or just need to remove dirt and oil from the day. It’s packed with natural, botanical ingredients like:

  • Evening Primrose Oil: Known for its essential fatty acids, this oil helps soothe and replenish skin.

  • Lavender Essential Oil: A calming addition that soothes the senses and the skin, while offering a natural, gentle fragrance.

  • Squalane: Derived from olives, this lightweight oil hydrates without clogging pores.

How I Use It:

I wet my hands (but not my face), pump 2–3 pumps into my palms, and massage it into my skin for at least a minute. This helps break down makeup, sunscreen, and impurities. Then I wet my hands slightly to emulsify the oil, turning it into a milky texture that rinses off easily.

Step 2: Deep Clean with Youth to the People Kale + Superfood Facial Cleanser

This is my holy grail cleanser for a reason. It’s packed with nutrient-rich superfoods that gently cleanse while balancing the skin. Key ingredients include:

  • Kale: Full of vitamins C, E, and K, kale provides antioxidants to fight free radicals and promote a healthy complexion.

  • Spinach: Another vitamin-packed ingredient, spinach hydrates and refreshes the skin while calming inflammation.

  • Green Tea: A natural anti-inflammatory and antioxidant that helps soothe and protect the skin.

How I Use It:

After rinsing off the cleansing oil, I apply this gel cleanser and massage it into my skin and neck for about a minute before rinsing thoroughly.

Why It’s Clean:

This cleanser is vegan, cruelty-free, and made with cold-pressed extracts, free from harsh chemicals like parabens and sulfates.

Step 3: Nourish and Restore with Darlin’ Beef Tallow Face Balm

This might be the most unique step in my routine, but it’s been an absolute game-changer for the texture and elasticity of my skin. Stay tuned I have a DIY recipe coming soon for beef tallow body butter. Beef tallow is rich in skin-supporting nutrients, including:

  • Vitamins A, D, E, and K: These fat-soluble vitamins help repair the skin barrier, improve texture, and provide deep hydration.

  • Omega Fatty Acids: Essential for maintaining healthy, supple skin.

  • Natural Lipids: Mimic the skin’s natural oils, making this balm deeply nourishing and easily absorbed.

How I Use It:

After patting my face dry with a clean towel, I apply a good layer of tallow balm.

Why It’s Clean:

Beef tallow is an all-natural ingredient, often sourced from grass-fed cows. It’s free from synthetic additives and closely resembles the natural oils in our skin, making it an ideal moisturizer for those seeking a minimalist, natural approach.

A few tips I’ve learned along the way that have made a huge difference:

  • Take your time. Sounds simple enough.. but really TAKE YOUR TIME. Massaging products into your skin thoroughly ensures they work their best.

  • Rinse well. Leftover residue can clog pores, so don’t rush this step.

  • Use a clean towel. This small detail makes a big difference in keeping skin healthy and clear.

That’s it—just three steps to clean, hydrated, and balanced skin. If you’ve been looking for a routine that prioritizes natural ingredients and practical steps, I hope this inspires you to try a minimalist approach! Let me know how it works for you.
