Refreshing Green Drink for Spring & Summer

Spring and summer are the perfect seasons to refresh and nourish our bodies with vibrant, hydrating drinks. One of my favorite ways to start the day is with a homemade green drink that is light, refreshing, and packed with nutrients. This blend is not only delicious but also incredibly beneficial for overall wellness.

Why I Love This Green Drink

This drink is a perfect way to hydrate first thing in the morning while supporting digestion, detoxification, and energy levels. It has a mellow, slightly tart, and crisp taste that’s cooling on a warm day. Plus, it’s made with simple, natural ingredients that each bring their own health benefits.

Ingredients & Their Benefits

  • Granny Smith Green Apple – A slightly tart apple that provides fiber to support digestion, vitamin C to boost immunity, and antioxidants to help fight inflammation. Apples also contain pectin, which aids in gut health and detoxification.

  • Cucumber – A powerhouse of hydration! Cucumbers are made up of about 95% water, making them excellent for replenishing fluids. They also contain silica, which promotes healthy skin, and antioxidants that help reduce inflammation.

  • Baby Spinach (2–3 Handfuls) – This leafy green is rich in chlorophyll, iron, folate, and vitamins A, C, and K. Spinach supports healthy blood circulation, bone health, and detoxification, and it’s gentle on digestion, making it an easy way to get in those greens.

  • Coconut Water (8–16 Ounces) – Nature’s electrolyte drink! Coconut water replenishes potassium and magnesium levels, helping with hydration and muscle recovery. It also supports heart health and digestion.

  • Filtered Water – Hydration is essential for every function in the body, and using filtered water ensures you’re drinking clean, pure water without added chemicals or contaminants.

  • Aloe Vera Gel – Aloe vera is known for its soothing properties, both inside and out. It supports digestion, gut health, and hydration while providing a dose of essential vitamins and minerals. Freezing it makes it easier to blend into the drink without altering the flavor too much.

  • Juice of One Lemon – Lemons are high in vitamin C, support digestion, and help alkalize the body. They also enhance liver detoxification and give this drink a bright, fresh taste.

How to Make It

Simply blend all the ingredients together until smooth! You can adjust the coconut water and filtered water depending on how thick or light you prefer your drink.

Why This is a Great Morning Drink

This green drink is incredibly hydrating and supports your body’s natural detoxification processes, making it a fantastic way to start the day. It’s light, refreshing, and provides a gentle energy boost without caffeine. The combination of electrolytes, fiber, and antioxidants helps keep you feeling energized and nourished.

I love sipping on this in the spring and summer, especially when the weather is warm, and I want something crisp, cooling, and easy on digestion. It’s also a great post-workout drink to replenish minerals and keep you feeling refreshed.
